I am fashion crazy; I love everything about the industry and the clothes. I literally live for fashion, (no exaggeration; my money always seems to go on clothes, shoes, handbags or accessories....!!). I admire individuality and the fearless; I adore to people watch and see admire other peoples styles and I gain lots of inspiration from that. Stunning Pre Spring/Summer 2014 Collections

Clover Canyon Pre Spring/Summer 2014
While it seem a little early to even begin to think about Spring/Summer 2014 The Pre Collections are already upon us with Moschino, Chanel, Christian Dior, Cavalli, Oscar de la Renta and many more designers showing what in store for next year and it looking very exciting indeed! Dark urban delights with a mix of classic style can be seen throughout many collections along with fun accessories, vibrant prints and bold shades. The  Pre Spring/Summer 2014 offers an eclectic mix to suit every taste; so Here are some of The Chic Guide favourites from Pre Spring/Summer Collections to inspire you for this coming season, enjoy!

Chanel Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Chanel channelled 1920's chic with a mix a modern fare which co-insides with the latest craze sparked by 'The Great Gatsby' movie of lower helm lines and elaborate jewels. Chanel of course began in the 1920's with Coco designing classic pieces but in a new way and this collection does exactly that. The dresses have unusual hemlines with a cut=out at the front revealing just the right amount of flesh but still remaining classic, their signature pearl necklaces have still featured but there is also the adage of chunky earrings, collars and embellishments for a much more modern take on their signature look. The beige, navy, black, grey and white colour palette very subtle yet striking in, overall the collection is stunning updated look for the modern 'Chanel Girl'.

Christian Dior Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Yet another classic brand, Christian Dior was all about bold colour blocking and print, asymmetrical hemlines, statement pieces; a move away from the more classic Dior this Pre Spring/summer 2014 was much for fashion forward with Raf Simons at the helm. Bright red and blue powers suits, colour blocking top and trousers and clashing print dresses, tops and skirts this collection has a very modern aesthetic with a hint of the 60's and 70's.  Marion Collitard could be seen wearing a dress from the collection at Cannes International Film Festival this year and she wore it with a sixties inspired bouffant hair and hoop earrings which we can predict will be ever more popular for 2014.

Oscar de la Renta Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Moving on to Oscar de la Renta's Collections which is always a favourite of mine; the designs are consistently season after season elegant and chic. This collection was an array beautiful clothing with classic cuts and wardrobe staples injected with bold prints, beautiful fabrics and detail producing producing yet another timeless collection. What's beautiful about de la Renta's collections from season to season is accessibility of his clothing to women of all ages, shapes and sizes, his design are always effortlessly chic.  Filled with so many elegant pieces this collection truly stunning; it radiates summer. You can definitely expect to see many of these exquisite dresses gracing the red carpet in the near future.

Bottega Veneta Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Abstract prints with red, grey and black was the predominant colour throughout Bottega Veneta's for Pre Spring/Summer creating  stunning urban inspired collection. Featuring playsuits, separates and dresses but with a twist, the bold abstract prints, different textures and overlay fabrics is really wonderful; I love their fresh take and the classic silhouette.  I loved the simplicity of this collection, you don't need to over accessorise any of the pieces, there stunning on there own which says a lot about the quality of design.

Moschino Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Moschino are always a favourite for their playful and chic style and I love their new Pre Spring/Summer Collection its very youthful, bright and fun! The prints literally jump at you and the accessories are even better, like the watering-can handbag, how cute is that for a summer purse? Daisies are one of my favourite summer flowers, they remind of happy days as a child and I love how they have used the daisy print throughout their Pre Spring/Summer Collection. I adore this Spring/Summer coat with the daisy print pockets or the daisy print dresses. The tie dye print is bang on trend with the return of the 90's inspired style seen everywhere recently but they have infused it in a much chicer way; I'm not a big fan of the whole return of the 90's but this print I would actually wear.

Just Cavalli Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Extravagant, racy and not for those that prefer a more understated look, Just Cavalli's Pre Spring/Summer collection while featured his signature leopard print throughout the collection there was also fresh paisley prints, florals, sky prints and much more which created a really interesting mix to his collection and my favourite piece from the collection was the coat (left), the print is really wonderful and for those of you that love to clash and mix up prints it would look amazing with a varying print dress underneath to create a Sarah Jessica Parker inspired look or just an eclectic piece to add some interest to your wardrobe.

Akris Pre Spring/Summer 2014
Sleek, contemporary and polished, Akris Pre Spring/Summer Collection is wonderful. Vivid colours contrasted against the soft shades in the collection create a beautiful contrast, yet it all flows wonderfully. The denim works so wonderfully and it's not something that I would associate with high-end fashion but Akris have successful incorporated jeans into their collection in such a chic way that I found myself no longer looking at them as just jeans but in a much more groomed fashion chic way and I really like the concept of the everyday item turned into something ultra glam and for denim fans this is bound to be an instant hit! However there is much more to their latest collection than just denim, there's trouser suits, dresses, separates all of which are so sophisticated, well structured and you'll fall in love with the collection too!

Marks & Spencer's stunning Autumn/Winter Collection for 2013/2014

When I came across The new collection from Marks & Spencer from designer Belinda Earle (who formerly designed for Jaeger and Debenhams) I had to share it with you all, I was instantly in love with so any pieces from the collection. The vintage inspired accents, the luxurious faux fur, tweed and prints couple with the high octane glamour makes this collection one of the most exciting on the high street and I can honestly until now never been excited by Marks & Spencer's but this collection blew me away! Due to hit stores for Autumn/Winter 2013 it's sure to be a sell-out collection. The store is known for it older designs is making a brave move in shifting from their tired image into a whole new market of shopper - the younger yet sophisticated 20's to 30's women; while there is still a clear nod to the past with the shape, cuts and fabrics reminiscent of the 50's and 60's era, the collection is updated with different textures, fabrics and detail is utterly stunning.

The tweed suit is wardrobe classic and I was delighted to see it featured in this collection. I adore how they have styled the suit with the faux fur wrap, this is the perfect accessory to accompany and vintage inspired look and if definitely my new winter must have. The cut and detail of this suit is superb which you don't often find on the high street and on trend from the runway. Zac Posen's Spring/Summer Collection 2013 featured many vintage inspired pieces; given the low price tag compared to a high end designer suit this is truly a bargain.  Even if this Mark's & Spencer's suit is out of your budget charity shops and thrift/vintage stores are great places to get something that looks just as chic with a little history attached and I have to admit I'm an avid charity shop hunter, I love a bargain and it's very environmentally friendly too and that's always something that we should be mindful of.

I'm in love with the fabulous swing coat is ideal for those colder months while still keeping you feeling like the optimum of style. It's always hard to find the perfect coat for winter that looks elegant and feel glamorous but also manages to keep you warm and this is the ideal coat, it ticks all the boxes! The tweed fabric, the large faux fur cuff, the structured collar and the flared skirt and simply beautiful -again another stunning piece from the collection that I want for this Autumn/Winter! Accessorising with waist belt is a must to highlight the shape of this stunning coat and the rest just speak for itself....pair with some elegant heels or knee high boots for winter and you're sure to turn heads walking down the street!

Another piece from the collection that was utterly dazzling is this scarlet wiggle dress, the classic LBD is no more - it's been overthrown by this amazing red dress which screams siren!  You've all lust after Roland Mouret dresses or the cut of Victoria Beckham designs, well I have to say I prefer this dress! The colour for one thing is amazing, the floral cut-out fabric, the exaggerated v neck with just barely reveals your shoulders and the perfect pencil cut is designed to make you feel like goddess which you slip this beauty on...!

This classic vintage inspired rose print dress is really beautiful not only in design but the red rose print against the black background is ; I instantly thought of Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly in Rear Window when I saw this dress and fell in love with it! Designed exactly to 40's and 50's style of dress, the hemline falls just above the ankle and the neckline is subtle in an elegant v-neck creates the perfect amount of allure while not revealing too much which I adore about this dress and the colour and fabric are divine! The trench

Vintage Burberry and Aquascutum Adverts
Vintage trench coats
The trench coat without debate is the optimum of chic; from royalty, the elite, the stylish, and the ultra glam are all loyal fans and I most certainly am too! It's a classic wardrobe stable, it's light weight, chic and has been in style since it was created in the early 1900's. While there is debate as to origin of the trench coats design Burberry, Aquascutum and Barbour all have an important place in it's history and those famous brand are still making some of the most sought after and highly priced trench coats available.

While they may be out of the realm of most of our humble fashion budgets, you'll find fantastic trench coats available from Forever 21, Gap, Topshop, Primark, Net-a-Porter, Whistles, Marks&Spencer, The Outnet.com, Farfetch.com, John Lewis, French Connection, Next, Zara, House of Fraser, Reiss, Warehouse, Hobbs Soia & Kyo, L.K. Bennett, Lands'End,  or you can excellent new, vintage or used trenches on eBay, Esty, ASOS Market place, Decades and there are many more wonderful shops online. Whether you prefer new or vintage most trench coat coat stil opt for the classic design based on the original make of double breasted with deep collar, and belt at the waist. Black, beige or red is my personal favourite but again that's down to preference, you can get everything from polka-dots to floral or leopard but if you want a coat that will last from season to season and year-to-year to come. It's best to invest in a really good trench and in a neutral colour and it will last you forever if you look after it well.

Marlene Dietrich wearing her
trench to perfection!
Our love affair with the trench coat never seems to dampen;  from the world war one soldiers in Britain and French, the design proved not only a roaring success within the military; post WW1 many civilians began to see to the functionality as well as the chicness of the garment and by the end of the Second World War the trench coat had grown massively in popularity. Hollywood cemented the trench coat into cult status in classics such as Casablanca, A Foreign Affair, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Killers, Out of the Past and is synonymous with Film Noir genre (watch any of these movies and you'll want to go out and buy a trench, I guarantee!). Who wouldn't want to smoulder like Marlene Dietrich or emulate the chicness of Audrey Hepburn, I fell in love with the trench just from watching all the old Hollywood movie stars and my fascination with vintage fashion began and all from the trench coat! So go and get a trench either vintage or new and once you start wearing yours you'll never want to be without on again, it really is a must for you'll you chic folk out there!
